As many of you know from previous posts, on April 25th, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our newest child Finn Joseph on April 25th.
When my first child was born, my life was so turned around that all I could see was the difficulties, the challenges, the long nights, lack of sex, detachment from my buddies, etc…
However, this time I want to document something different.
Below are just a few examples of the joys, success, and victories that young Finn has brought to our lives.
~ The pursing and puckering of his lips when he is hungry.
~ How light he is when I pick him up
~ His lamby cry when he is cold
~ The fact that he looks like an old man when his eyes are open
~ How he instantly reacts to his papa’s voice
~ The fact that is so small that his first bath took place in a roaster pan
~ How determined he is as getting has arms out of the bundled blanket
~ How he looks like a Chipotle burrito when he is swaddled
~ Experiencing the generosity of neighbors who have cooked us meals, or have spoiled us with gifts
~ The feeling of victory when he finally gets out that solid burp
~ 3 hours of solid sleep
~ How excited you are to see poop after 3 days without
~ How I drive better when he’s in the car
~ The wonder and awe of it all… (I mean less then 3 weeks ago he was inside my wife!!!!)
